About Us

In 2002, he was accepted at the Building Crafts College in London, England. There he completed two diploma courses in architectural stone carving, traditional stone masonry and restoration. In 2003, he was named Most Outstanding Stonemasonry Student by the Master Brick and Tile Setters of London, England.  After his course work was complete, JB served a five month apprenticeship at the Houses of Parliament in London, England. There he completed restoration work on historic stone walls, as well as carving complicated architectural elements. 

In 2003, JB returned to the United States and opened a stonemasonry division of Country Landscapes, Inc. For the last 7 years, Country Stonemasons, located in North Liberty, Iowa, has served the Midwest providing the art of traditional stonemasonry to residential, commercial and institutional projects. 

Today Country Stonemasons has three other full time employees: Eric, Matt & Andy.  Like JB, they are all well-versed in all aspects of work that Country Stonemasons performs while bringing their additional skills to the table.

Country Stonemasons is a member of the Masonry Institute of Iowa and the Stone Foundation.
